Hop on a Venetian Vaporetto

A vaporetto is a water taxi or water bus in Venice, operated by the public transport authority for Venice.

One of the handiest lines for all visitors is line 1. It slowly cruises the Grand Canal from the central bus station in Piazzale Roma until Venezia Lido.

It stops at most landmarks down the Canal like Piazza San Marco, Ca'Rezzonico, or Rialto Bridge.

Regular Vaporetto ticket for 75 minutes (13.75 €) Day ticket, which is valid for the water buses in Venice and the islands of Lido, Murano and Burano (33 €)

You even get to Venice by boat from Venice Airport, there are only two choices: The Alilaguna Water Boats or the Water Taxi. The Venice water buses do not serve the airport.
