I Fell in Love with Croatia

Croatia exceeded all my expectations. Now I know why it's become so popular.

A side trip to charming Šibenik.

Our tour began in Dubrovnik, where we stayed at the Grand Hotel Park, which offered fantastic views of the Old Town.

Wandering the well-preserved medieval walls of Dubrovnik was a highlight, with spectacular vistas of the city's rooftops and the shimmering Adriatic Sea.

We took the ferry from Dubrovnik to Split. In Split, I spent two nights. I loved the vibrant Riva promenade and the historic Diocletian's Palace.

From there, we headed to Opatija for three nights, enjoying its charm and an amazing farm food experience, where I got to make bread. The beautiful coastal walkway known as Lungo Mare offered breathtaking views.

From Split it was on to one of the best parts of the trip was exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park. Its cascading waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes surrounded by lush greenery created a breathtaking natural wonder that was a joy to walk around.

Our tour ended n Zagreb, where we walked through the bustling streets of Ban Jelačić Square and a visit to the Zagreb Cathedral, with its stunning architecture.

Throughout the journey, our tour group got along wonderfully, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Croatia’s journey from its troubled past to its current success is truly inspiring. As I explored its streets and landscapes, I discovered a love for a country that will stay with me.

We will be back.
