I Got Inspired to Write a Newsletter!

Truthfully, it’s been on my mind since the days when newsletters were sent by traditional mail. Although the idea felt daunting, creating fresh content monthly while prioritizing my client's needs seemed like a challenge but the desire to share valuable insights and connect with you more deeply has won over.

Another travel newsletter? If you’re like me you don't have time to read all the newsletters you have subscribed to, but I’m trying to include topics that are interesting and helpful, based on my experience.

Grounded!

While Travel dropped to almost zero during the pandemic, travel advisors worked tirelessly to get clients home when borders were closing, rebook trips, manage credits and process refunds. It was an incredibly stressful time for everyone, not knowing what lay ahead.

During the nearly two years of no travel, I took the opportunity to advance my skills through seminars and training. I upgraded technologies and my office workspace. I was ready for the return of travel, which I knew was coming.

Travel did, of course, come back - in a big way.

Recognizing the support we provided during this time, the new complexities of travel and along with our supplier connections, more and more travellers turned to professional travel advisors for guidance that continues unwaveringly.

I am seeing new trends: people new to travel are realizing this is their chance and experienced travellers are looking for new adventures and inspiration. Quality time with family and friends has motivated us to embrace the opportunity and make up for lost time.  Those dream trips on everyone’s bucket lists are becoming a reality. With the increased demand, people are starting to recognize the importance of planning ahead.

I hit the ground running in 2022 and have been going non-stop ever since. In fact, 2023 was my most successful year ever. I am optimistic for the future of travel.

The balloon represents the adventurous - and slightly unpredictable - nature of travel. The tagline is a call to action. Finding the inspiration we get from travel is its great reward and a boost to our joy for living.

Why did I rebrand my travel business?

I realized that this new demand for travel - and its vulnerability as exposed by the pandemic - was an impetus to grow the business.

In order to do that, it was time to grow my support team and to position myself as an advisor for the traveller that appreciates the value of my experience and trusts my recommendations.

I have a long partnership with my host agency Trevello, the luxury travel network Virtuoso and my team of advisors with various specialties.

For my current clients I doubt the rebranding matters to them; it’s for the people who don’t know me. To touch a nerve with the type of traveller who is curious and wants to learn how to travel.

The name Travel Inspired is meant to evoke the many wonderful benefits we get from travel: wonder, adventure, connection with people and mind-opening experiences. It refreshes our spirit and leaves us changed when we return to our homes and jobs.

Travel should be inspiring.

Thank you to all my wonderful clients.

I am excited to be on this journey with you and share a mutual love of travelling the world. Hearing your travel stories and seeing your photos inspires me to keep delivering exceptional travel experiences.
